REMEMBERING JACK R. TAYLOR

"Papa Jack"

five Years

Five years ago, on April 25, at 3:31 am, Jack Taylor received his promotion. After several months, battling heart issues, he succumbed to congestive heart failure. At nearly 88 years old, He left this physical realm and made his home with the Father.

Would you take a moment to remember him today?

The Kingdom of Heaven

His unfailing passion was pursuing the Kingdom of Heaven. He loved his family and his spiritual sons. He adored people and gave his life to serving them and God with a unique presentation of the Word of God. I remember being in the room when his spirit departed his body. Several thoughts entered my mind as the impact of the experience pounded me like a jackhammer.

There was no one on earth who studied and sought the Kingdom as Jack Taylor did. It was an obsession! An idea came to me: "He now knows all there is to know about the Kingdom he chased with every breath he breathed." Just as suddenly as that thought came, another replaced it. I heard the Father say, "No, that is what eternity is for."

Immediately, I understood by revelation that our God is so grand and inscrutable that it will take eternity to know Him. We will need eternity to learn and understand who He is, and that is what eternity is for.

Remember Jack Taylor today by contemplating eternity with the Father.

Matthew 6:33

After a discussion of the basic needs for life, Jesus, in the Sermon on the Mount, relates the true secret to following Him.

He says:

See First the Kingdom of Heaven and His righteousness, and all these things that we need will be added to our lives.

The pursuit of the things of this world is the wrong goal, even though we need them. Jesus says the Father knows what we need before we ask. He knows, and He will provide.

But, the pursuit of the Kingdom, the rule and will of God, is the goal for this life. We are to pray:

"Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

If Jack Taylor were still with us, this is what he would tell us:

"SEEK THE KINGDOM WITH ALL THAT YOU ARE AND ALL THAT YOU HAVE!"

The Kingdom of God is:

  1. Discoverable—look for it, and you will find it!

  2. Declarable—we can preach and teach it, and others can discover it with us.

  3. Demonstrable—just as Jesus showed us what the Kingdom looked like (He was, after all, the personification of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth), we can demonstrate the Kingdom by faith in Him.

Whenever the Kingdom of Heaven collided with the kingdom of this world, the Kingdom of Heaven always won! The sick were healed, and demons were cast out of people. Wherever Jesus went, He pushed back the gates of hell. Ultimately, in His death and resurrection. He defeated, once and for all, sin, Satan, and death.

Remember Jack Taylor today by seeking the Kingdom with all your heart!

THE PASSION OF JACK TAYLOR

THE 5-POINT

KINGDOM PRAYER

Jack Taylor is famous for the prayer he prayed daily for his spiritual family. He listed them every time he met with his sons and daughters. We submit his prayer here that the power of answered prayer would continue beyond his last breath and that you may be blessed. Papa Jack's dreams was to have sons who had sons who had sons, and so on, until Jesus returned!

PERPETUATING THE LEGACY

Death is not the end; it is a promotion for the sons of God. Our spiritual father has left us a legacy that compels us to carry on. No one can replace Jack Taylor; no one will try. The call to continue and even advance what Jack Taylor began is a near impossible task. It is impossible without the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit and the partnership of those who loved, followed, and called Papa Jack their spiritual father. If the legacy of Jack Taylor is to be continued, it will be done by those he influenced to live better lives for Jesus. The ministry of Jack Taylor will be perpetuated by those he inspired to move higher than they ever have before. His memory is challenging us to dream bigger and expect greater. God has put within each one of us passions to pursue and has called us to missions to fulfill. The memory of Jack R. Taylor inspires us to carry on what he started. The new vision is to perpetuate the network of spiritual sons and daughters he conceived as we advance the Kingdom of heaven and bring glory to God together! We invite you to join us …

The Sonslink Network

The response to continue the network of spiritual sons and daughters initiated by Jack Taylor has been overwhelming. It was his intention to father for as long as he lived, and he did. Indeed, he did it well! Papa Jack launched the Sonslink Network to connect, communicate, and complement one another under a common spiritual father. The passing of the spiritual father pleads for sons to become fathers and daughters to become mothers. We already see this happening in local churches with brothers and sisters coming alongside one another, advancing the Kingdom where God has planted them. The Sonslink Network will continue to host and champion several gatherings a year. You can learn more about them by going to the Sonslink Network page at this website. Opportunities to gather with spiritual brothers and sisters will continue to be a vital part of the legacy of Jack Taylor. Join us as we continue this new vision to pursue life and ministry with one another as we advance the Kingdom and bring glory to God.
